Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation extends partnership with NSW Waratahs22 Jan 2024

The enhanced partnership will see the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation continue their support as a Platinum Partner of the NSW Waratahs Women’s team and also extend their support as a Platinum Partner of the newly developed NSW Waratahs Women’s Sevens team, and official charity partner of the Positive Rugby Foundation.

The Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation logo will again proudly feature on the upper back of the four-time championship-winning Waratahs Women’s jerseys this season.

Under the new agreement, the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation logo will also feature on the upper back of the Waratahs Women’s Sevens jerseys in the side’s inaugural season.

The NSW Waratahs and Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation have been working together since 2018. The renewal of this positive partnership highlights the shared ongoing commitment to raising breast cancer awareness in the community and supporting the growth of women’s rugby.

“The Waratahs relish the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community and will continue to raise awareness of the wonderful work of the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation.

“We are extremely passionate about supporting women’s rugby at all levels and I look forward to seeing our women’s teams showcasing the Sydney Breast Cancer Foundation logo on their jerseys again in 2024.”

“Our vision is to raise greater awareness of breast cancer and encourage more women to get regular screenings. Breast Cancer is not a discriminator, it affects women of all ages, and through partnerships like these, we endeavor to reach new communities that will benefit from this awareness plus encouraging the involvement of women in the game of rugby.

“Be breast aware, know your body, early detection is vital. This message will save lives.” 

The Super Rugby Women’s Competition kicks off on Saturday 16 March at 5:05 pm against the ACT Brumbies at Allianz Stadium.
