2017 SBCF Rugby Long Lunch

The 14th Rugby Long Lunch held at the Hilton Sydney on Friday 2nd June 2017 was a huge success raising more than $270,000.  The seriously entertaining Vince Sorrenti did a brilliant job as MC and guests were treated to a three course luncheon with fabulous food and wines.

Guests were entertained by World Rugby Women’s Sevens Player of the Year 2016, Charlotte Caslick and Australian Women’s Sevens Head Coach Tim Walsh. Mick Colliss also shared his true story of having a go and never giving up.

Columnist, comedian, breast cancer patient and SBCF Ambassador Emma Markezic gave an inspirational account of her experience with breast cancer.

There was an amazing selection of silent and live auction prizes. The afternoon was rounded out with one very lucky guest headed home with a brand new Audi A3.

This event would not be possible without the support of our wonderful sponsors and supporters. A special thank you must go to Richard Crookes Constructions, principal sponsor of the Rugby Long Lunch since its inception in 2003 – we sincerely  thank Richard Crookes Constructions and the Crookes family for their continued  generosity and dedication to the cause.

We would also like to thank our major sponsor Qube and our Key Sponsors Wearne & Co Chartered Accountants, Bennelong Asset Management and Northrop Engineering.
