SBCF Rugby Long Lunch a success

The 13th Rugby Long Lunch held at the Hilton Sydney on Friday 24th June 2016 was a huge success raising more than $213,000.  The seriously entertaining Vince Sorrenti did a brilliant job as MC and guests were treated to a three course luncheon with fabulous food and wines.

Guests were entertained by England and Lions rugby legend Brian Moore. Wallaby legends Rod Kafer, Elton Flatley and Morgan Turinu took time out of their busy schedules to take the stage, sharing their experiences, stories and memories of life on the field.

Breast cancer survivor Elle McCabe gave an inspirational account of her experience with breast cancer.

There was an amazing selection of silent and live auction prizes including holidays to

One & Only Hayman Island, Old Ceylon Sri Lanka Holiday, Emirates One & Only Stay, Saffire Freycinet, Miskawaan Thailand and W Retreat & Spa Bali.  The Audi car raffle sold out and one very lucky guest headed home with a brand new Audi A3.

This event would not be possible without the support of our wonderful sponsors and supporters. A special thank you must go to Richard Crookes Constructions, major sponsor of the Rugby Long Lunch since its inception in 2003 – we sincerely  thank Richard Crookes Constructions and the Crookes family for their continued  generosity and dedication to the cause.

We would also like to thank our key sponsors Wearne & Co Chartered Accountants, Bennelong Asset Management, The Manildra Group and Audi Centre Sydney.
